The tutor of my very first fashion course many moons ago encouraged us to ‘get out and about’ visiting museums and galleries around London and I loved every minute of it! I still reserve time in my busy schedule to visit and be inspired by, as many exhibitions as I can.
Here is a list of some of the things to see that have started or are coming soon.
* SQUEAL*! SO excited (can you tell?!) about this one.
I was gutted when I couldn’t see it in New York, but delighted when the UK dates were announced.
This exhibition is spectacular and definitely worth the visit! It was inspiring to see Alexander McQueen pieces WITHIN ARMS REACH!
My favorite section had to be the “Cabinet of Curiosities”, a room I did NOT want to leave. It was a banquet feast for the eyes. Garments, accessories and video clips of his shows, and the infamous spray-painted cotton dress in the center. I literally had to be ushered out of the room!
My next Alexander McQueen fix will be at the Tate Britain.
Showing at the Fashion and Textiles museum
The first-ever exhibition on the fashion and interior design of Thea Porter.
A selection of images of actress Audrey Hepburn
I might visit this show. Those of you with a passion for shoes may want to visit.
Time out- Exhibitions in London.
